This is the only physical single I ever bought... I was like 10 years old and thought the bass/melody was rad (still mostly do to be honest, even if terribly repetitive):

Yup. Easily top 5 songs of Motown and good lord does it tug at my feelies. I love it when sad songs are in a major key. That bitter sweet aesthetic in all genre's is my sweet spot.

Also agree with Umbrella... actually that's around the same time I met my wife and she turned me on to:
Maneater by Nelly Furtado
LoveStoned by JT (really that whole FutureSex album)

And how can we leave out MJ... for me I liked watching this on MTV when I was like 10 (so much 90s imagery with Kriss Kross, Heavy D and Michael Jordan):

Another 90s hit I'll never forget the video for:

Sorry... last one I swear:

Massive Drake fan, whether he's rapping or singing.

Anything by Travi$ Scott i really dig.

In terms of straight up pop, I like Fetty Wap, The 1975 and Kid Cudi

I've seen "Ah! Leah!" listed as "power pop." That's a pretty choice pop cut. And tied to one of the dorkiest music videos ever.
