The new 33 1/3 on this is an absolute riot. Throughout the book, George Grella Jr. compares this to enormous figures like Guernica and The Rite of Spring. Most importantly, though, he's damn right about them.

There's nothing I particularly dislike about this record but I've never been able to sit through the entirety of it. I'm going to make this one a priority soon. Musically it's stellar and the lineup of musicians here is literally a who's who of fusion greats including drum gods Jack Dejohnette, Lenny White, and one of my all time favorites and biggest influences, Billy Cobham. _________________ Attention all planets of the solar federation: We have assumed control.

Pretty damn amazing is right. It's an absolute necessity to listen to in Miles Davis' discography.

I met a guy whose name is Miles Davis and there are a lot of jokes and banter thrown around when it comes to it. Pretty fun atmosphere around him.
This album is amazing.

He should show up on your next album, Happymeal. BEAcore needs a song with "Ft. Miles Davis" in the title.

He doesn't play any instruments, but I have done spoken word tracks a few times before so perhaps. I first met him in the community college I currently go to. However, he also went to my highschool (unbeknownst to me of course) so when I went to this alumni gathering last week, I was surprised to see him there. This is irrelevant to my response to your statement of course!

Contrary to popular belief, this isn't really the very first fusion album, but it is still a landmark.
Also, the musicianship isn't up to par with most fusion acts; it's the composition that sets this one apart.
It's also not an easy listen but it is a must listen, just not very often.
