By the way the live version of Free Bird by Molly Hatchett is a killer too.
And live versions of Southern rock are in many cases better than the studio version as the Fillmore concerts amply prove for Elisabeth Reed, Whipping Post and Mountain Jam.

Yeah, that seems to be a trend across the genre, but especially so with the Allmans.
(Gov't Mule is also an excellent jam band)

Mountain jam by the allman brothers band based on the Donovan song is my favorite Liz reed is great as well. Also in the conversation is tuesdays gone by skynyrd.
