Exactly.

Sometimes french cuisine isn't my thing.

Would I eat snails over a burger. Nope.

But you gotta admit the quality/sophistication of Lamar is greater?

Yes of course, Kendrick is more sophisticated and can get his point and messages across in different and more dynamic ways.

Honestly I love the complexity surround this question but I have to go with...

GKMC!

As of late, I've had a little trouble deciding between it & TPAB myself. At least for now it's Good Kid.

Comparing Kendrick to Kanye as the best rapper of the 2010's is like comparing Led Zeppelin to Pink Floyd as the best rock band of the 1970's. One may come with the argument that Pink Floyd has much deeper and better lyrics than Led Zeppelin who just says "OOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHBABYBABYBABYBABYBABY THE WAY YOU SQUEEEEEZE MY LEMON, I'M GONNA FALL OUT OF BED BED BED BEEEED". Then the other person argues that Pink Floyd can't play nor sing for shit compared to the amzing musicians in Led Zeppelin (not that these are my opinions). Kendrick and Kanye have both made some fantastic music, but they have their own different styles.

The only reason I'm disagreeing with this is because Pink Floyd and Led Zep are 100% comparable.

TPAB > MBDTF > GKMC

Also: DAMN > GKMC and maybe even MBDTF

TPAB is just a ridiculously good record. What it's able to do in all the different directions it goes in and making incisive commentary on every important thing affecting him and his world and still having certifiable bangers in the mix. It'll be untouchable for sometime. It put in concrete his place as voice of the generation.

Cause they big rock bands or?

I don't feel like their music is at all on the same page, but probably same book, just a different chapter maybe.

I like DAMN a lot. And it grew on me with subsequent listens, but I can't put it above Good Kid.

I chose GKMC because of it's consistency and accessibility. Solid from top to bottom, even the bonus tracks are good. I personally don't care much for TPAB and was a initially let down upon its release. It was an unexpected change in sound and artistic vision that didn't particularly interest me.

Dark Fantasy is fantastic in its own regard and stands among Kanye's highest achievements. But I do not believe its stronger than Good Kid. I would however place it above TPAB but maybe thats just me.
