I will say the debut carbon is one of the coolest looking ones out there. It's acrylic platter is super modern looking.

I also have a Pro-ject Debut Carbon. I love it, the only thing i dislike is that to change from 33 rpm to 45 rpm I have to lift the platter and move the belt. I don't have to change the playback speed often, so it's not too big of a deal. Besides that it works fantastic, thought I haven't tried any of the other turntables in that price range to compare it against.

The debut carbon esprit I have has a button for changing the speed. I don’t own many 45’s though. My kids hit that button to mess with me. I found a 45 of The Muppets Song, “Mana Mana” (spelling?), which should be played at 45, but is pretty hilarious at 33.

Yeah, me neither. I've seen the 1200s on ebay and the such... idk... still hunting.

I'll probably do the LP120 in the end, but it's often been my personality to exhaust everything and then pick the thing I knew I was going to get all along. It's pathetic.
