I think Hexvessel might be right up your alley. They're like a mix of Black Sabbath, The Doors, and just cool psychedelic occult sounding shit.

If you’re looking for heavy, here are a couple of suggestions
Check out grand funk railroad. Maybe start with inside looking out off the eponymous album and the railroad off we’re an American band.
Porcupine tree are also a great band. Heaviest album IMO is deadwing. Try arriving somewhere and glass arm shattering
