This is an outstanding album full of post-bop brilliance. Great sax work from Elvin Jones and excellent drumming from Tony Williams on top of Tyner's stylish and increasingly adventurous piano. Great stuff all 'round.
The lineup comes close to being the great Joe Henderson backed by Coltrane's classic rhythm section, with Ron Carter on bass instead of Jimmy Garrison. One of McCoy Tyner's best albums.
