As stated previously, MIST's brash, triumphant, melodic, catchy, unapologetically Brummie pop rap really got me hooked last year - the dancefloor-ready, smooth, UK garage keyboard motif works wonderfully with that larger than life, cheeky, charming, Puffy-an sense of fun, and Jessie Ware's hook really ties the two vibes together. It won't beat Mitski, but it gets my vote. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.
Yeah, tough draw here, no doubt about that. Like the MIST track quite a lot, has gotten even better over multiple listens, but still gotta go with "Nobody" even if I'm not as in love with as many others (though I still really, really, really like it).
