Rota, easy. First, it's a score, not just an assemblage of cool indie rock. Wouldn't be enough for 8 1/2 to beat Ghost World's soundtrack if it weren't a great soundtrack tough. And great it is.

W A T ? ? "an assemblage of cool indie rock" ??!

Wish there was a distinction made (separate tourney's?) between scores and soundtracks, it's apples and oranges. Ghost World has a really great soundtrack that makes for enjoyable listening regardless of if you're watching the film or not. 81/2 has a really great score that enhances the film, but isn't something I'd necessarily choose to listen to outside the context of watching the film. My vote is gonna go for the music that enhances the film itself rather than just good music, although there are definitely occasions when a score/soundtrack can be both
