Magic Mystery Tour offers a lot more, I believe.

"Mrs. Robinson" on the soundtrack is NOT the "Mrs. Robinson" of Bookends. So, I have to take that song out of the equation. What's left is pretty much the two singles: "The Sounds of Silence" (which I do dearly love) and "Scarborough Fair" (this one's okay...but, has never been a favorite).

Magical Mystery Tour contains some mighty strong Beatles tracks...even if you do subtract the second side because it contains non-movie tracks. "Fool on the Hill," "Magical Mystery Tour," "Your Mother Should Know," "I Am the Walrus"...they're all first-rate songs. They're memorable, sing-a-long-able (yeah, I made that word up, so what? lol These are all solid songs and are first-rate Beatle offerings.

Outside of the tracks I mentioned, The Graduate has a bunch of minute-long, bachelor pad filler tracks. There's just no comparison. (Go ahead...hum "April Come She Will" from The Graduate ...bet'cha you can't! You instantly know ALL of the tracks from that Beatles offering!)

A strong song or two from Paul and Art...or an entire album of full-length offerings from the Fab Four? The Beatles nail this one!
