Thanks for putting this together Hayden and for all the bonus stats as well! Maybe I missed it in the mix, but how many participants were there in the poll

Dozen or so, which is in keeping with last year. Nothing's been anywhere close to our 10s poll though— think that number was around 60. Mid-pandemic really brought out the listmaker in people.

And adding Nope to your list probably would have shot it up at least a little. Still no clue why it didn't get the same reception as Get Out or Us— it's easily my favourite from Peele (and I think his other two are excellent).

I'll be posting the 70s poll on the weekend Smile — hoping the turnout lands at least double the '22. Lots of BEA regulars only do the decades (and I think this site is partial to the 70s, music and cinema).

I've already made my 70s list for movies, actors, and actresses

I'm not quite sure where to talk about this considering our 2022 thread was kinda squished, and I'm not even sure if the consensus was we weren't to include live performances, but I just watched National Theatre: Prima Facie, and it would have easily been my #1 for the year. Jodie Comer did something I didn't even know was possible. It's the best stage performance... ever? Insanity.

My second perfect score of the decade. The fact it's a debut is mindboggling. Stageplay is on some sort of other echelon.
