One of my most played, cherished, and memorized records ever. Born to Run is my second favorite album of all time.

My introduction to it was Bruce and the band playing it in full back in 2009, Detroit. The “Good evening, Ohio” show if that resonates with anybody else. This was my first actual concert and it changed the course of my life forever. At the core of that experience is this album that represents the feeling of and reminds me of my own youthful wistfulness.

The ‘take a gamble/hope it pays off’ energy here is palpable and the album is home to a handful of my very favorite songs ever. Great lyrics, great arrangements, and a perfect track list.

Happy AOTD to a gem and an all-timer.
