I recently bought Ernest Ellis & The Panamas' album and realised something about an album I added.
Hurtsville by Jack Ladder & The Dreamlanders - I listed it as Jack Ladder alone and this probably should change to distinguish between solo and band work. (In my research, I noticed that Tom Petty and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers have seperate pages.) I thought I could change the artist name on the admin page but I can only imput a different artist ID.
Is there a way for me to change this?

Oh yes, and Purple Rain is not by Prince, it is by Prince and the Revolution.

Normally, the way to change the artist name is to click through to the artist page from the album page and change it there (if there are no other albums by the same artist it won't affect anything else). However, in this case, a new artist needs to be added to distinguish it from the other. I've just made the edit since new artists can't be added by people at the moment outside of a chart.

yes, looks like all the Prince albums need looking at as they are all credited just to Prince at the moment.

Could we just stop giving some solo artists their bands points? It's just dumb.
Like, I respect the solo artist of a band to have his/her own page, but why are only random ones given their bands points?
Ex:
Jimi Hendrix is given Jimi Henrix Experience point for some reason....
Like, yeah, he wsa in the band, but it technically wasn't just him...
2cd Ex:
Noel Gallagher's albums do NOT get Oasis's point...This makes sense.
3rd Ex:
John Lennon, Paul McCartney & George Harrison (..& Ringo I guess) do NOT get all the Beatles points.
Etc.
