The only time I've ever went out of my way to buy an album on release day was for Christina Perri's "Lovestrong." I loved the song Jar of Hearts so much that I skipped my morning classes to go to Fred Meyer right when it opened and bought/listened to the album. It didn't disappoint and is now fitting in nicely on my chart.

The only one is The Smile Sessions by The Beach Boys (in the week of release), which jumped straight into my Top 10.

I don't think I've ever really bought an album on the release date. I don't really follow that many new bands.

When I bought U2 - Achtung Baby! It was a couple of days after (November 18, 1991) the release the world. The disk had been expected! And they rewarded me. Surprised
