I think what you get stuck in your head is what you listen to or randomly hear somewhere... I have to say I rarely get 'radio stuff' stuck in my head because I don't listen much to the radio. My stuck in the head thought processes are often dictated by more mundane things...
For about a week after Joy posted his random 30 song list, I had 'do the hustle' swimming around my head (and forcing some serious disco dance moves). I didn't even hear the song, only saw it in a list! I don't dislike the song at all but it is annoying when all you can think is 'do do do do de doo do do do do, Do the Hustle' and can't actually concentrate on anything else.
Yesterday it was Daydream Believer... even if I hadn't heard it on the news, I would probably have it in my head because it is my strongest association with Davy Jones. Along the lines of Davy Jones = Daydream Believer! Davy Jones is dead... Daydream Believer in head!
Today I have the 'Theme from Superstars' stuck in my head. We are looking for shooting superstars for our netball team...
What is netball? I have never heard of it. Is it like volleyball?

It's a form of group torture widely practised in Australia, New Zealand and United Kingdom..
Nah seriously - it's a bit like Basketball in that there is a hoop (but without the back board), but you can't bounce the ball and run with it. You can't touch your opponent (well not really) you can't hold the ball for more than a couple of seconds and you can't move your feet much once you have caught the ball. The aim is to score as many hoops as you can. The rules for indoor netball (which I play) are a little different from standard netball.
For some reason, Minnie Riperton's "Memory lane"...I don't have any of her albums or singles...wasn't a big fan...but woke up with that song in my head and it won't leave. _________________ “If Jesus came back and saw what was being done in his name, he'd never stop throwing up.”, "Hannah and her sisters" Woody Allen 1986
Thankfully the Spice Girls are long gone and have instead been replaced by one of my favorite bands. Ever since this song was released a couple days ago it hasn't left my head. So catchy.
