I listened to the BEA top 100 albums of the 90s earlier this year, there were 5 Pearl Jam albums in it d'oh! 5! Which is kinda disgusting. This album was a pleasent enough listen but its completely forgettable.

They hit it big with Ten and then promptly forgot what they did that made Ten such an amazing album. Absolutely none of the magic from the first album made it onto this one. Or any of their future albums, for that matter.

Brick wall

A song like Leash, or Animal, or Daughter doesn't have the magic that Ten did? We're all entitled to our own opinions of course but I couldn't disagree more. Listening to this album has always been magic for me, start to finish. And No Code and Yield also had that magic for me. The passion that came from Vedder and all the band members for that matter on Ten is definitely still here on Vs.

I like Vs. Here is Rearviewmirror as I feel that it's best listened to. Live.

I like this more than Ten: better production, better songs. Classic! Very Happy

Its good. Almost all their albums have one or two songs I like a lot more than any on this one. I think the strength of this album is that all the songs are real good, really good even. But none are that really great song. At least for me. I'd put this right behind Ten. I'd probably listen to it over ten, because I've been so exposed to 10. I've been listening to their Live at the George album (7 disks), its full of really good songs.
