A total masterpiece, an almost perfect mix of pop sensibilities and experimental tendencies. Perhaps Eno's most accessible album, what with its warm, welcoming blend of art pop tunes and vivid, serene instrumentals. This is also one of those albums where virtually every song works individually and out of context, yet the whole thing is still really cohesive and, somehow, more than the sum of its already immense parts. It remains one of the most satisfying albums I've ever listened to; a work of genius.

There wasn't even a single released from it. I forgot what the whole thing sounded like. What I do remember is that it had music unlike the Music for Airports one.
I'm going to have to put this on again.

I've only heard it once, and admittedly had mixed feelings. I recognize the genius, and the instrumentals were sublime, but I seem to recall the poppier tunes feeling a little out of place.
However, like I said, that is based on one listen, and I'm eager to give it another. I probably will tonight if I find the time.
