Ok. My attempt at levity to this situation has definitely been misconstrued.
My point is to let him know that we've all felt that way. To let him know that he is NOT alone in how he currently feels. We've all developed crushes and become tounge-tied idiots. Nothing more.
Thanks for your replies. I just needed to vent to some strangers because i don't want to tell anyone i know about it.
I seriously need to get practice talking to girls. I have one friend who's a girl, and i feel somewhat comfortable with her, but i'm still a stuttering idiot when i talk to her. I can't think straight when she's around.
You know what's weird? Girls are just guys with a few gibbly bits in some places and a bit that goes inside and not out. Seriously, they're just people too. My advice is to stop looking at them as anything but, well, you know, people. Some years ago, I had some nerves problems with girls, and once in a while I will if it's a girl I really like or an ex or something. But when you just stop and go "Eh, just a person", life'll be a bunch better.

I completely know how you feel. I was the same way in junior high school. I had a girlfriend, but I would literally squirm when I was around her. As you spend more time with girls, you gradually become more comfortable. It just takes some time. Most of us have gone through that awkward phase. It is actually the norm. So yeah. Just develop some platonic relationships with a few girls, and you will gradually become more comfortable in their presence. You will realize that they have faults and fears just like us. You will stop seeing them as unapproachable paragons of perfection.
Yeah but when a man needs help and is completely and utterly alone... it's common human decency to help.
This.
