That's the biggest difference between BEA and RYM for me. I'll go check RYM for a record or whatever but BEA has a much more human element that keeps bringing me back every day

RYM is also pretty great for looking at what's "big" with the community every year; their year charts are intuitive and always a good basis for me to go digging of what to listen to.

BEA does offer the whole choose a country concept, but RYM has a much larger database to search through. Also, most of the ratings on RYM tend to outmatch the ratings and point distribution on BEA meaning that RYM has the better taste in music (from my perspective of course) so it's easier to find albums I'd like.

I'm aware of it, I do that pretty frequently, I was just stating that BEA also has it (I thought most people were aware of RYM's features! Oopsies =-=)

oh i see, i read that the other way around. i had just noticed rym had the country search a couple days ago so i thought it was new.

I'm FuchsiaBunyan. I use it for recs but don't actually rate anything.  Though I don't do too much of that on here outside of favourites anyways.
