Alternative R&B and Drake-esque stuff (OVO label, basically)
Also, cute indie folk/pop/rock

The majority of what I listen to is noise rock or noise pop, so I would call that my home.
On the other hand, anything psychedelic (psychedelic rock/stoner metal/psych folk/psybient) is something that leaves me feeling warm on the inside, so I guess that's my sanctuary.

Mine would be whatever we call the convergence of rock, country, and singer-songwriter. "Alt-country" might do it, if we define that as rock bands that are a little country and country bands that are a little rock, with an emphasis on real songwriting and musicianship.

Just a simple topic to discuss...
What would you say is your absolute, person defining Genre? Now, please note, this doesn't necessarily mean your 'favourite'. But rather, more specifically, the Genre you call home; The one Genre you always come back to; Perhaps, even the one Genre that started your obsessive, exploratory, love for music.
Ok?

That's a toughie. I guess the genre that really got me exploring was electronic, or at least its many subgenres. I guess I should give a shoutout to Daft Punk. They really got me into electronic. I do always end up walking back to electronic's sub-styles, hoping to find something I can really get into. But I don't know if it's a home genre. I'll give this some thought.
