Defying genre conventions is what makes him the artist of his generation.

I don't get the "grunge" label. The big four bands all sounded different from each other, like they don't really have anything in common except they're alternative rock bands from Seattle. It's like if you called Chance the Rapper and Vic Mensa drill just because they're new Chicago rappers.

This is pretty much what I was trying to say but you've said it better. Grunge was a movement, not a genre. If you've heard "grunge mixed with garage rock" you've probably just heard garage rock that's loud and slow and has a singer that's sad and is trying to sound like Eddie Vedder. And I say this as a big fan of all big 4 grunge bands.

An all-encompassing artist. Omniscient and all-powerful.

Though if you look at the scene/movement at large, there were sounds that many grunge bands had in common. You can make connections through the way this swirl of punk, early alternative rock, and aspects of hard rock melded all together which is clear through the early progenitors. Even Soundgarden's early material blended in well with the aspect of Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Coffin Break, and so on. There was a connecting sound, but even I agree it was more a way to group west coast alternative rock together in this homogenized mess even if some bands had no connections in sound or style to the other. But Post-Hardcore was similar in the same function as well and we seem to be fine with calling that a genre?

Yeah. There's been three waves of ska, at least 2 of post-punk, several of emo, music comes and goes and sometimes there's a new style thrown on top.

Praise the almighty Drake. Drake is all of us and we are all Drake, one and the same.

It is written:

1 Felicitations 4:17-24 wrote:
And the word of the Lord came to Wayne of small stature, also called Weezy, and the word was good, and the word was true. The Lord spoke and the grounds shook, creatures with brightly colored hair, large buttocks and breasts came from the heavens and sang praises to the Lord. Songs of supreme bass and dangerous snakes. "Speak to me Lord, here I am" cried Wayne, "Speak to me! Tell me your name, show me your face". "No man may look upon my face and live" spoke the Lord "but I will reveal myself to you for you are my servant." Then there was a great light, and the heavens opened and the Lord showed his back to Wayne. Wayne of small stature was overcome by His glory, "Tell me Lord, who are you?" Wayne cried aloud, and the Lord spoke "DRAKE. The Lord DRAKE, Drizzy Almighty". And the word of the Lord was in Wayne and Wayne praised the Lord DRAKE to the end of his days, spreading the Word of Drizzy to all the ends of the Earth.

Wasn't acts like Afghan Whigs,Smashing Pumpkins,Jeff Buckley, Weezer kind of the second wave of that style, only that they incorporate various other genres to the "grunge sound".
