Agreed. I'm not the biggest fan of the album, but I respect the legacy it has created. In fact, there are a lot of older acclaimed albums I can't get a good grip of, but I would never say they are "overrated." There is a reason why their legacies last, and I respect that. And I think "overrated" is a useless term as well.

Obviously, the problem here is with how people are interpreting this term "overrated".

past tense: overrated; past participle: overrated
have a higher opinion of (someone or something) than is deserved.
As this definition states, I simply think people have a higher opinion of this album than is deserved, and am wondering if anyone thinks the same thing. We clear?

Well, Pet Sounds is really good, and a lot of albums that are high on the overall are really bad, and some of those are higher on the overall than Pet Sounds, so probably no.

Actually you guys, I just ran some science, and the album's actual value is 34.73468. And all the journals have it down as 34.29316. Everyone was unfairly not giving enough points for the alone/grown rhyme in That's Not Me even though it's totally a real rhyme. So it's actually underrated.

This entire post bothers me... did we really need to know how to how to pronounce overrated and what the past and present tenses are for it
