Whatever flaws this album has, I think it contains most of Radiohead's best songs. I'm curious which tracks people consider to be the average/filler ones. I like them all, but I agree that dropping a few might create a more cohesive musical experience with a buttery flow.

i agree with this. the best songwriting is all here, and the sonic depth is here. the lyrics are much deeper and introspective than a lot of their other work, and some of the arrangements are nearly classical pieces. this and amnesiac really explain greenwood's leap into the orchestral field.

the playlist i typically listen through is:

2+2=5
sit down stand up
sail to the moon
backdrifts
where i end and you begin
there there
a punchup at a wedding
myxomatosis
scatterbrain
a wolf at the door

that leaves off go to sleep, we suck young blood, the gloaming and i will, which are all good tracks, but i find these are the ones the slow the album down and drag it out too much. often wonder if they wouldn't have cut a few of these if not for the leak.

This is their best record.

Yup. This is my favorite Radiohead album. I think it's downfall has been that it's less compact than the other records, but it's just loaded with many of their best sounds, and most interesting sound.

I've had it at #1 on my overall at times. Myxomatosis may be my favorite Radiohead song.

I remember looking fascinated by the cover of it and saying, "man it's going to be so cool, just look at it", and when I started playing it just dissolved into the music, and I couldn't unsee it, thanks album covers .It's not my favorite from radiohead, but I love how it goes, I kinda feel Yorke was getting in a state of paranoia, the music has some weird vibes, it feels like that in a simple moment it can just collapse. There are times I think it goes too long, and I kinda lose myself into the songs, also sometimes it feels too slow and meeeehhhh (read this slowly for better effect), but it is probably their best from this century.

Definitely one of their strongest. It's great to hear a (perceivably) less controlled Radiohead which results in their most sprawling album - which is a good thing. The Gloaming is the only weak link here but even in context it works really well and transitioning from that into There There is so glorious I can't begrudge it being there. The production here is certainly up with their best. The sounds on something like Sail To The Moon is just so fucking pure I don't know how they achieved it. As a whole it's a really great mix of hopeful and disdainful Radiohead. 00's Radiohead > the rest

Yup. This album is all about the paranoia and conspiracy theories in a post 9/11 world.

Yeah that is what I was expecting with an album with a song named "2+2 = 5"

Or that Yorke was really bad in maths. That's what happens when You have a head made of radio

I like this one and give it a solid 4/5 stars. It doesn't rank among my favorite Radiohead albums, but that says more about their catalog than this album. It does have some great tracks, including Sail to the Moon, Go to Sleep, A Punchup at a Wedding, and Wolf at the Door.
