Booooooo...
Go Jays. Another season of murderer's row in the batting order. If the starting pitching holds up... _________________ Finnegan was super bad-ass.

New Rockies SS (who was the old one? I can barely remember him...) Trevor Story became the first player in the modern era (1901-present) to hit home runs in his first 3 MLB games. He now has 4...they are his only career hits so far.
And the Rockies are 1 game over .500. I don't get to say that very often... _________________ May we all get to heaven

I got to see Story play for the Isotopes a bit last year. Pretty happy to see him go off like this to start the season. He should definitely end up being a ROY contender. _________________ http://jonnyleather.com

Story is right now on pace to hit 243 home runs this season. Staying on pace will allow him to pass the record for lifetime homers by Barry Bonds at 760 by the time he's 27, and he will finish his career at about age 38 with about 3,000 career home runs. Fans and media all across the country will dismiss his career achievements as him being the "product of Coors Field", and he will not make the Hall Of Fame in his lifetime because of his "ridiculous home and road splits". _________________ May we all get to heaven

On the real though, I don't think my Orioles are gonna do much this year (they could totally be the worst team in the AL, who knows), but I'm still pumped to watch them. They're gonna hit a ton of home runs and strike out a billion times, but it'll be fun. |
Well, I think all of us O's fans thought that, but have been pleasantly surprised haha. I think if the O's continue to bat conservatively and work counts, we have a good chance of making number 1 in AL east. In my opinion, we have one of the strongest defensive fields in MLB. Our pitching has similar potential, I just don't think it is as consistent as the rest of our field. But, as I mentioned, if our offense keeps doing what they have been, it will make up for that and we will be a strong team

Yea, anything is possible. The offense is gonna be great I think, defense is good, but the pitching is capable of imploding at any minute (looking at you Gallardo....) and that's what scares me. _________________ 2023 Chart

I'm looking forward to a repeat of the '69 World Series. _________________ http://jonnyleather.com

2015 was the first time in history that the two teams that played in the World Series were expansion teams. There had always been at least one of the original 16 teams in every WS until last year. Kind of surprising, considering that almost half of the teams in MLB are expansion teams, and that expansion began 56 years ago... _________________ May we all get to heaven
