I would like more metal discussion on BEA also but I'm not going to stop coming on here if it doesn't happen.

Sorry to disappoint you GARY haters Laughing

Besides, how am I going to learn and grow if I only communicate with people who agree with me?

I love metal but I also have found newer, and even some older, non metal genres from people on BEA.

I even found some great classical music today from a post of Jhereko's.

Unfortunately there are many users who don't come on the site anymore that I would like to see more of Confused

@Pam about RYM - it's bigger than BEA, so there's a lot more.. "activity" on their message boards, which can be a good or a bad thing I guess. Their charts are based on the average rating for an album. Basically the top of the overall chart is similar to the BEA overall chart (Beatles, OK Computer, DSotM, VU & Nico), but the biggest difference is that there are more "lesser known" albums high on the charts (a lot of metal, as mentioned), and many well known but polarizing albums are very lowly rated.. For example stuff like Oasis or U2 or The Strokes, which are very high on the charts here, are nowhere to be seen there (of course, all those people who claim they're overrated influence their rankings). Now this can be again - OK or not, but personally I hate the fact that Is This It or Joshua Tree are so low

I think I may be one of the most boring users on this site Razz

I have no niche recomendations like 40footwolf and other, don't abide to genres which makes me unable to list them, no 30+ year knowledge of music, don't post the My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive and Sonic Youth crowd pleasers on my chart.

Despite being prominent user I don't even have streotypes or tropes applied to me like Naples, GARY and Jhereko. It makes me wander if I'm "just there". lol

I liek how CJ describes my stereotype:
Charlie is an all-American teenager who loves Captain Beefheart and Electric Wizard as much as he does Alanis Morisette and Demi Lovato.

Probably, but I find not knowing to be much more exciting.

It really is too bad 40footwolf doesn't post anymore. Like Pam already said, he was one of my favorite posters too. (His chart is also one my favorites as well).

As for my stereotype on this site, I already know mine. It's the unbelievably cool guy that everyone wishes they could be more like Cool
