Kanye west with this album proved that hip hop can produce very high quality music ! super great !
and for those who didn't enjoyed the album, listen again to this:
P.S: The Suburbs (and The ArchAndroid) is still slightly better

No.
No you won't.
You'll turn 94 one day, realize that you've missed out on this masterpiece, and when you go to buy it, you'll die.
And to Jhereko: The Suburbs isn't THAT bland. It's still a great album. You just have to really get into it to enjoy it. I do agree that MBDTF is better though.
MBDTF really is one of the best albums ever, regardless of how new it is. I honestly didn't think Kanye could top The College Dropout, which I really only consider an 'ok' album. But then he released this
If you don't enjoy this, than at least try to appreciate it for what a landmark it is in hip-hop's history. I still do think that Illmatic is better, but this has a close 2cd. _________________ Submit Your List for BEA's 2023 Film Poll!

Sorry for double posting, but I was too lazy to do the entire 'requote' thing
Just so you know Seangov, it already has topped Public Enemy's album. But it's not the highest ranked hip-hop album on the site. Sadly, Eminem has that possition On our site, it goes:
1. Marshall Mathers LP
2. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
3. Illmatic
4. It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back
5. Paul's Boutique
6. Enter The Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers
7. College Dropout
8. The Low End Theory
9. Ready To Die
10. The Blueprint
All of which, are way too low Only 11 hip-hop albums in our top 300
ALSO. Did anyone else notice that there's no hip-hop album in the top 100? _________________ Submit Your List for BEA's 2023 Film Poll!

I'm guessing someone forgot what used to be #1 on their chart a couple months ago. _________________ sig

Lol I feel the same way about both albums.
Actually, both are in my top 3 of the 21st century, so I guess that makes sense _________________ Submit Your List for BEA's 2023 Film Poll!

I thought the production was great, among Kanye's best. The actual rapping left a lot to be desired, however. I preferred Sir Lucious Left Foot: Son of Chico Dusty over this for rap albums from 2010.

Fantastic album; it's so rare to hear music these days with a big sound and a lot of substance to back it up but MBDTF mixes nuance and bombast like it ain't even a thang. _________________ I love all music. It makes you feel like living. Silence is death.
