And before you say 'mancsoulsister' - I abstained. I didn't vote for or against anything as I think both album covers in this match up are crap!
Most people (and I can name names if you like) seem to come on and vote for their favourite albums regardless of what the cover looks like...

I do wish people would stop saying this...can't people vote for an album cover even if they like the album?
Honestly. Mancy, I think the Animals cover is fantastic - and I dislike Pink Floyd almost - almost- as much as you.

Yes please!
I think definitely the album itself plays a significant part in how people are voting, but then the way the artwork works with the music is sort of important right? It's like some album covers just fit with the music perfectly and capture the feeling of the album.
My point being that it's hard to seperate the artwork from the music because they are there to compliment each other.
But yes there are some terrible album covers getting voted through because they are popular albums (not this one though, this ones great).

See, this is the problem, you can't pick and choose when people vote for the music and when people vote for the art. It's become people's go to when an album art they don't like gets through. People like different art like they like different music. [/preach]

Yeah I get it Jhereko it was sort of tongue in cheek, maybe a smiley face would have made it more obvious 
Even objectively though I think it's a good piece of cover art, but then put this cover art with any other album and it wouldn't be nearly as great. So yes I'll admit that the music this artwork was created for did have an influence on my vote but I don't see how it could be any other way.
My favourite PF album is The Wall but if that artwork had been up for nomination it definitely wouldn't have got my vote, because it's crap.
