Coldplay and Oasis aren't overrated. Neutral Milk Hotel and Arcade Fire are, however. _________________ "The Beatles, the greatest band known to mankind." - Bismah Mughal

You think Funeral and In the Aeroplane Over the Sea should be ranked higher? _________________ "The Beatles, the greatest band known to mankind." - Bismah Mughal

I can understand how NMH are overrated, but Arcade Fire deserve the reputation they have, I don't mind Oasis and Coldplay however but I do understand how someone would find them overrated. _________________

Do you hate music or something? I only ever see you talk about artists that you don't like. You must lead such a sad life.

No, but I don't mind them who they are. If I really expected the overall chart to look like mine, well I wouldn't go far. Arcade Fire in the top 10 and ITAOTS in the top 20 (I think...?) are infinitely better than Oasis and Coldplay in the top 50 or something. But well, it's just my opinion, you know.

I love Coldplay! One of my favourite bands of the past 13 years! Every single one of their albums is magic!
NMH are awful btw

Quenn's a LITTLE overrated, but not by a lot. Nirvana are kings of overratedness. And Justin Bieber's the queen.

Even though that wasn't aimed towards me, yes on Funeral, no on ITAOTS.

I'm not exactly an ardent fan of either, although I enjoy both, and my music library incorporates their albums.
Are they overrated by their fans, and the general public? Yeah. So are a lot of bands. But those that don't like Oasis and Coldplay, as a result, insist on overcompensating in their disdain for the bands, and that ALSO annoys me. Those two attitudes are polar extremes, and everyone should remember that. It's one thing to be enthusiastic or disenchanted, and it's another thing to be fanatic or over-critical.
