Voted for Husker Du not because I particularly like them but because they are at least a 'post-punk' band!

Not even sure about that. Post-hardcore is an actual genre.

This is Your Bloody Valentine is more psychobilly or gothic rock and could also fall under "post-punk" if you ask me (at the very least it's pretty far from "tweest Indie pop" of Sunny Sundae Smile or Strawberry Wine). That said, it's also one and possibly the only MBV release that I don't really like, which is why I can't really get behind them in this tourney, despite being one of my favourite bands.

I was gonna ask actually, what albums by Hüsker Dü should I give a listen for this tourney. Admittedly I only know Zen Arcade by the band, but I don't remember it being "post-punk" at all.

Yeah would agree with that... Still think that Husker Du are more 'post punk' than anything (including 'This Is My Bloody Valentine' - which i listened to again yesterday and still think MEH!) MBV has done!

Still MBV will no doubt win the tournament at the expense at some infinitely better examples of the post-punk genre!
