I agree with Drakonium, it was fine, but it didn't really grab me like their other work does.

Portishead do make some boring albums. Anxious I mean... what about Massive Attack, The Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers? They're all more exciting and have more recent stuff than this one.

They're a different kettle of fish. Not much point in comparing them. Their records are made for dancing to, Portishead's and Massive Attack's are not. One is functionalist electronic rave music, the other is more contemplative and intended for at-home listening. It's a bit like saying, "Leonard Cohen is boring; why not listen to Herman's Hermits instead?".

I don't believe I've heard their second album but I much prefer this to Dummy. This has a much more interesting and striking sound to me. Not a favourite, but it has the potential to be.

I've been to a lot, and I don't remember anybody ever filling the dancefloor with 'Glory Box'.

I can let you get away with comparing them to Massive Attack, but Heligoland is just not in the same league as Third.

If Glory Box fails, this will be my glorious recovery to get everyone to remember how cool I am - I can already feel it.
