This is usually between 4 and 7 for me, though I had to listen to Godspeed's F#A# over 10 times to actually start to appreciate it, and Hospice went on after 1 listen, so there are anomalies.

Certainly depends on the album, but I generally agree with Mercury, often if it's really good I'll add it to my chart and it will gradually work its way up.

It used to be 1-3 but now it's more like 4-7.

This. I think this is the reason I get so dissatisfied with my chart, I keep saturating it with albums I really liked on the first listen.

^This. If an album just hits me hard on the first listen, then I'll add it to my chart. If it takes I few more listens for me to start liking it, then however many listens it takes. I voted 1-3 because there have been times when I've added albums to my chart after only one listen (Down Colorful Hill, Tago Mago, and Reign in Blood to name a few)

It would take something impressive for me to claim an album is a favorite (which is what I consider my top 200) after one listen. I think if you are reaching the same level of fondness so immediately... that you are being premature in your fanaticism.
