I'm gonna set that other band aside and check that out first, maybe tomorrow. My last album for the day is a Klaus Schulze one. _________________ Do it yourself and let me play my music: https://www.besteveralbums.com/thechart.php?c=61802

Well I checked it out. It's got a nice feel to it. Healthy sense of rhythm, good voice. 6.5. _________________ Do it yourself and let me play my music: https://www.besteveralbums.com/thechart.php?c=61802

Me and my mate did a very faithful version of Robert Palmer's 'Johnny and Mary' during the first lockdown, which I've only just gotten around to uploading. Enjoy. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.

I quite enjoyed this. Do you have another place where you've uploaded music or have it for sale? I recall listening to some music you put out back in 2013 which was solid, and I'm having a hard time finding it now _________________ 51 Washington, D.C. albums!

Fellow people who make stuff whether music or not—
How has 2020 affected your inspiration?
This will be my first year since I started making music to not release any work. I've found myself absolutely sapped. I went through a few file folders the other day to see if I had any scraps I could pull some inspiration from, and it was only then that I realized the last time I opened a DAW was September 19th (2019...). I've listened to a crazy amount of music this year, and 2020 is well above and beyond my most 'listened' year, but I've found myself having near no drive to create anything. I'm not sure if it's the atmosphere of the year itself or more of a writer's block kinda deal, but I'm not even entirely sure what I would start to create with a blank slate. I have a scrapped experimental release I made in 2019 I might end up putting out there some time next year, but otherwise.
Has anyone else been feeling this way this year? Just a little drained to make anything. Wherever I look, it seems lockdown inspired people to create, but I found it did the opposite to me.

It's like a rollercoaster for me. I do a lot of front of house sound engineering for work which straight up doesn't exist anymore so I spent a large part of the year getting better at in studio sound mixing which kind of propelled me one day at a time to practice on my own stuff. There were entire months I couldn't create and months where I was treating it like a 9-5 job. I was just patient with myself in all states though. Now hopefully by the beginning of next year I'll have both my band's record and my own solo album beneath my belt.
