Neat stuff. I'm a big fan of Maiden, play all their albums frequently (save X and XI) and have seen them live a couple of times, but I've completely missed most of these. Thanks.
I was listening to the Godsmack album THE ORACLE that they released a year ago and find it a solid effort. So I got curious and checked out their ranking. I now wish that I had not done so.
Godsmack is ranked #2,484 in the overall band rankings.
I wanted to post a video that shows what Ozzy used to be like before they turned him into a side show freak. He is full of life in this video and, as always, surrounded by fantastic musicians. Check out the size of the crowd at least.
I had to go with the official video for this one. If you watch it you will know why. One of the best VH with Sammy on vocals. Killer bass, guitar, and drum playing, as always with Van halen.
I feel the need to post some Iron Maiden again. OOOOOLD MAIDEN
I was just thinking about when I first heard Iron Maiden over 30 years ago. "metal" bands really didn't exist other than a few like Black Sabbath and Judas Priest DISCO was the big thing when Maiden formed for Chrizzakes. There was hard rock but true metal was still a baby. So when I listened to the first 2 Maiden albums I thought of them as a great punk band that could actually play their instruments well. Well, looking back, I think I was pretty close.
An old Saxon song. I went with the studio version because it can't be beat. Take my word for it this is top notch sound quality even though it was made in the 80's. Crank it up.
This is a hidden gem from Iron Maiden callaed The Nomad off the Brave New World album from 2000. I went with this video (studio) because it's pretty cool.
