Actually, Manchester is where all the REALLY good English bands come from. Anyone nominate Manchester?

Yeah. It's there. Not sure who nominated it though, or what bands are in it...

Norman did - and they are good Very Happy

Good Very Happy

Also, harkan, good job with the layout/ pictures and stuff. We'll be able to tell our tournaments apart easily Smile

Hang on a minute... The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, The Clash, The Libertines all suck? Someone should tell my chart :?

I'm with you on this. This team has the #3, #18, and #20 bands on my artist ranking.

If only your usernames weren't so similar. Surprised

I had trouble with this even before this tournament started. Laughing

I tried to make it obvious...

I thought being a city compared to an album title might have helped.

Very Happy

No it isn't part of Manchester... anymore than Bradford is part of Leeds or Versailles is part of Paris or (to bring it closer to your end of the world) Bath is part of Bristol. It is a separate city. Close to Manchester city yes... but not part of it.

And I thought when we were nominating that this was about cities, not loose conglomerations of all kinds of things.. (with the exception of the belgrade thing that Loveless nominated). If we are looking at a 'yeah the city and the back land and in fact any thing within a 50 mile radius', then you can roll Leeds, Manchester, Salford and Liverpool into one nomination.. Very Happy

Well I don't think your comparisons are quite fair! Salford is a part of Manchester just like Richmond or Croydon are part of London despite being towns in their own right. When I lived in Manchester we considered Salford as much a part of Manchester as Fallowfield or Stretford for example. Anyway it doesn't matter they both have very strong teams.

PS I only lived in Manchester for maybe 6 months, not claiming to be an expert.
