OK Computer WAS ahead of it's time. Is it STILL ahead of it's time? NO. THAT WAS 1997.
Coldplay, Mew, TV on the Radio, Bloc Party, Porcupine Tree, Elbow... they've all done it now, they've cannibalized OK Computer's corpse. They've taken those old bones and constructed their own, new skeletons, upon which they grew their own flesh and blood and moulded and it and made it their own. Nothing on OK Computer hasn't been copied and redone a thousand times over since then, and many of those times done even BETTER. So don't give me shit about OTHER people not being able to embrace the progress when it is in face YOU who cannot embrace the progress. _________________ A dick that's bigger than the sun.

Eh... I feel that Radiohead's career truly started artistically with Kid A (and thereafter). Maybe I'd consider OK Computer as their 5th or 6th best.
BTW, the quote at the top of the page while typing this is... "Tomorrow is Saturday and Sunday comes afterwards"

I think it's ironic, well I hope so anyway! Always lol hard when that quote pops up.
I find it hard to see how anybody could dislike this album but can sypathise if people don't love it either. Mindblowing in parts a little dull in others. _________________ Shut up mate you're boring!

There will always be people that hate this album and think its insanely overrated...just the way it is. I didn't really get it for the longest time, but I went back to it a couple years ago and it blew me away. Don't know what changed in my head, but something clicked.
But I think one of the signs of a truly great album is when it polarizes people and produces very strong opinions. I can't think of one great album that is loved by everyone, it just doesn't exist. Strong opinions in both directions equals an album worth your time.

Wonderful album.
Airbag: One of my favorite opening tracks. Gorgeous melodies.
Paranoid Android: Would be a perfect track, but I don't especially care for the ending. Everything else is solid.
Subterranean Homesick Alien: Absolutely gorgeous.
Exit Music: Second best song on the album. Great pacing and a wonderful performance by Thom Yorke.
Let Down: Unfortunately, this song IS a bit of a let down. It's a little too whiny-indie for my taste.
Karma Police: Wonderful song. Lyrics are a little cheesy, but it doesn't ruin the song at all.
Fitter Happier: Definitely an essential track. The eerie music in the background is incredibly haunting.
Electioneering: Upbeat and extremely catchy.
Climbing up the Walls: A little too slow for my taste, but great lyrics.
No Surprises: Some of the most gorgeous guitar and synth melodies on the album.
Lucky: Excellent track. Suspenseful pacing and another great performance by Yorke.
The Tourist: Easily the best track on the album. Unbelievably gorgeous vocal melodies and a beautiful message.
So yes, a very good album. Best of all time? Probably not, but certainly one of the best.
