Yea I definitely agree with that. I'm not really a big fan of metal I'm going more off of Borve asking for things that were "very heavy, harsh, expirimental or difficult in another way"

Yeah, but Borve was asking for metal that fit that description, not some random noise rock too.
Still, Lightning Bolt are still one of my favorite bands of the 2000s.

And if you're gonna do noise rock too, then you can't go wrong with Half Japanese's first two albums.
But that's for another thread.

I did preface my suggestions by saying metal purists will hate them. Of the 5 bands I mentioned only one is really "metal". I do think that Lightning Bolt would be on the fringe of metal though. If you follow their lineage back far enough eventually you'll end up at Black Sabbath. Half Japanese, while awesome, wouldn't really be described as hardcore or aggressive.

re suggestions: Yup.
re fringe: Maybe.
re Half Japanese: not aggressive exactly, but harsh and experimental in a different way.

I'll say that Coverge is the most exciting thing that's been posted in this thread. That sounds intense as hell!

The first Converge track is off their latest album Axe to Fall, more polished (relatively speaking) than their earlier stuff. The second track is off of Jane Doe, an earlier album, it's brutal as all hell

Coincidentally, both are my favorite albums from Converge.
