http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-22149863
31 killed from car bombings in Iraq today (although i've heard from other news sites that the numbers up to 50 now) apparently it's connected to the upcoming elections.

Good point Jhereko, we are horrified by the Boston attack meanwhile bombs are killing people every day in middle east ... Let's not forget them too

First sporting event back in Boston tonight. The video followed by the National Anthem belted out by the entire crowd was really powerful, almost brought me to tears. I love the way a horrific event ends up uniting a city and a country like this.

When the attack first happened, I felt like it was an attack on the U.S. and I felt like I was part of the society that had been attacked, but it has totally turned into a "Attack on Boston" thing. There's a lot of this, "Stay Strong, Boston" stuff being posted, which is kind of suggesting that I'm just an outside party that shouldn't feel affected by it. By that logic, the posts should be "Stay strong, people that were in attendance at the Boston marathon." Why include all of Boston, and not the rest of the U.S? _________________

dude obviously it affects the whole of the us (i mean hell i always feel personally affected by tragedies like this even though i in no way am) but "pray for boston" isnt alienating the rest of the country. It creates a sense of closeness for a community that just went through a traumatic event.

Definitely a tragic thing to happen, my deepest condolences to the relatives of the victims and I really hope that such incidents will not be repeated, although sadly everything shows the opposite.
While trying to make such a thing as a comparison between bombing incidents is horrible, I agree with the main point stated on the above post.
