I meant EyeKanFly. If those are his actual opinions, then they are crazy pretentious.

When you're talking about your personal philosophy, it's hard not to seem pretentious. So, I guess I'm sorry about that.
That being said, I wasn't so much stating my opinions as much as I was just telling a story about my past in musical listening.
I understand that calling someone out for being 15 is super douchy and pretentious, and that's not what I was trying to do. I was just trying to describe how my music tastes were at that age, and what's different about them now.
Anyway, if you guys think I'm being pretentious, or a hypocrite, or whatever, then so be it. You go on listening to the music you like, I'll go on listening to the music I like. I just thought others might like hearing about my experience, just as I like hearing about theirs (because truly Happymeal's original post was a great read). _________________ 51 Washington, D.C. albums!

I'd be grateful if people didn't [mis]use that word so blandly; I know that it has become a synonym for someone's outlook on life but why not use the words outlook or attitude or world-view instead?

Sure, yeah. Any of those word would have been more appropriate. _________________ 51 Washington, D.C. albums!

Missing the point and grinning through bared teeth.

I'm neither grinning nor barring teeth. I'm actually really embarrassed that I'm being called out for being pretentious.
Well I didn't think I was missing the point, but if you really think I am, then sorry, but I don't know what to say. If you'd care to elaborate on what "the point" is, I'd be welcome to hear/read it. _________________ 51 Washington, D.C. albums!
