I don't pay any attention to the names of songs and whenever possible I listen to complete albums. Favourites of all time is too hard Smile In 2009, some of my favourite tracks were (in no particular order):

1. Metric - Help, I'm Alive
2. Dirty Projectors - Two Doves
3. Patrick Wolf - Hard Times
4. Antony and the Johnsons - Epilepsy Is Dancing
5. U2 - Magnificent
6. Sunset Rubdown - Dragon’s Lair
7. Muse - Uprising
8. Justin Townes Earle - Midnight At The Movies
9. Bill Callahan - Faith/Void
10. The Mars Volta - Halo of Nembutals

Of course they were good for me in the context of the album.

Wow this was really difficult to do. I whittled my collection down to about 150 and went from there. Not necessarily what I believe are the best songs, but my favorites:
