You could. I can honestly say that the fact that people hate it has nothing to do with why I like it. I like this album because I like the music on it. No other reason.

i suppose i stuck too much into your "But, I guess there has to always be a band that's cool to hate...."

but fair enough.

errbody drinkin the h8terade

I love this album. I love it. It's in my overall chart, I listen to it often, I've covered the songs with my friends a ton, the album is fantastic.

Yea, I get that it's popular, and thus difficult to like, and I get that it's the album that really threw indie folk into the mainstream and thus, it is strongly hated by people who have grown to loathe that genre, but you know what? I love it anyways, and I love the genre.

Sometimes boring music is worse than shit music, this is one of those instances. Music for people who only buy one album per year, from Tesco.

Posh boys who have a lot of connections.

I'm not saying everyone here is anti-mainstream or anything, I'm just saying that some people find popular things difficult to like for whatever reason. Either that, or the vast majority of mainstream music is awful. I would venture to say that it's a combination of the two.

Gonna keep my mouth shut on this. But this is maybe the most ridiculous statement in context with this album that I've read all year.

NOW my mouth is shut.

Saying that people tend not to like this album because it's popular is stupid. I guess Nevermind, DSOTM, and Thriller aren't popular albums anymore, then?

Oh there's a good idea, take one song and exaggerate it to try and make a point about the whole album.

I applaud you, sir. Rolling Eyes
