Nothing? Look at the cover art for The Band's eponymous second album, anything by Motorhead or any 70's outlaw country picker. And of course, Queen will always get extra points for Freddy's snazzy mustache. |
true, although I would proably consider Lemmy's a killer stache which is another ball game.

:D . I really should listen to some Dead some day. they seem to be icons but none of their albums seem to be considered great from what I can tell. NAPLES or bork do you reccomend any Grateful Dead or are they just a bit meh? |
They are a bit meh to be honest. Listen to Live/Dead. That's really where they come alive. All of their other "great" albums (Workingman's Dead, American Beauty, Anthem of the Sun) feel quite a bit mossy.

Great live band and accouterments. But try Grateful Dead-Workingman’s Dead. _________________ Top 100 Greatest Music Albums by RFNAPLES

Nice. And here I was thinking that I was the only one who did not like Prince. |

I agree
I was a Deadhead for a while and saw them live.
I saw them once in Chicago and was right by the stage. I was right next to Jerry Garcia when they took him away on a stretcher in the mid-ninety's.
I had taken 4 hits of acid, smoked a bunch of weed (they were passing around huge joints among the crowd), huffed a large quantity of nitrous oxide, drank copious amounts of alcohol, so seeing Jerry Garcia taken away in a stretcher was something that I was in no way ready for. I think it was the last concert he ever did. _________________ .

If that is what is required to make a band sound good I'm not sure the quality of their music is all that great in its own right.

I never said it was quality music personally.
But I really liked the atmosphere of the concerts (before and during) and the people who followed the Dead.
Everybody got along very well and I never saw fights (even with 40,000 people) like you do at say a rap concert. _________________ .

there that is.
no I actually get your meaning just when I had read it when you wrote it about prince before I had assumed it was meant as a sign of admiration.
incidentally I can't wait till Obama uses a Hitler analogy and just see the uproar

I do like the hidden text
I voted for MBV everytime!
Although there is no shame in losing to Talking Heads
