Nice.

I love the flight of the concords song, where it's like, you are so beautiful, you most definitely are the 2nd most beautiful woman on the street. hehehe.

Yeah, that's a good one. Strangely missing from the album-I think they just had so many great songs in that first series that some got left out.

Did you check out the video I posted? I think it might be their funniest yet and they just capture that 70s singer-songwriter vibe so brilliantly.

I definitely can appreciate Flight of the Concords sense of humor, however I didn't have the greatest first experience with them. They were on the Oddball Comedy festival tour in Detroit after comedians I enjoy like Hannibal Burress and Demetri Martin. A lot of their lyrics I couldn't really make out that well. They had a number of fans there but with the same token, many in the American audience were sitting there waiting for Dave Chappelle as hey had jokes go over their head.

I listened to some of their work a while after that show and I do enjoy them now.

Maybe they are not as universally well-regarded as I had thought. Though in New Zealand they are generally regarded as the fourth best folk-pop parody duo of all time Wink

I would recommend checking out the first tv series to anyone who has not seen this. Demetri martin is actually in this as well.

In the meantime, this could be their most BEA friendly parody. A must watch for Bowie fans!

College students here in Utah eat up Flight of the Conchords. But if you are comparing them to Chapelle in an American comedy circle... yeah.

Is it solipsistic in here or is it just me?

I've actually got a comedy albums chart but my favorite always and forever will be

I Have A Pony by Steven Wright

No comedy album has ever quite stood up to it for me. It's so clever, Steven Wright is an absolute genius. I've probably got this whole album memorized I've heard it so much.

Anyone else bust up laughing when stuff like slayer plays? Or Rob Zombie. You know those guys who kind of take their "evil" serious and you just bust up laughing at it because it often is ridiculous. Those are actually the best comedy albums.

A friend of mine wrote a song called Meat Sandwich... hysterical.

Oh I love Slayer, that's some of the better thrash metal around.

And for what it's worth, Slayer doesn't take their evil seriously, Kerry King has even said it's just great entertainment, it's all a schtick.

Slayer is really impressive musically, not trying to dis them, but I can't stop laughing when it comes on.
