I like this movie a lot:
No Time to Die - I'm only a casual 007 fan, and TBH I haven't really cared for Craig's comparatively charmless, nonchalant portrayal of Bond. NTtD, however, added a new dimension to the series/character that I appreciated. Add in some fun action scenes and a solid script, and this was easily the best popcorn movie of 2021, and arguably one the top 5 films in the series.
Did not like this movie at all:
Dune - Not a terrible movie, but one I found very disappointing considering the talent involved. Between the robotic characters, sluggish pacing, and fanlore only readers of the book would understand, this movie was lifeless to me. The only parts I enjoyed were Jason Mamoa's comic relief.
And I had mixed feelings on this movie:
Bad Luck Banging or Loony Porn - A Romanian satire on Cancel Culture against the backdrop of the pandemic, a very topical movie indeed. The trailer made it look like a complete farce, but that wasn't the case. The first third was mostly b-roll of our main character walking around. The middle third felt like a video essay in the vein of late-60s Godard, about Romanian history and censorship. Then finally the last third was where the bulk of the humor was, when our main character faces the consequences of her mishap. The very ending was great. _________________ on such a winter's day

Hey everyone—
Due to other commitments, I'm going to have to postpone the deadline for this (most likely 2 weeks). Hopefully this works in everyone's favour.
Bit more time to squeeze in some films _________________ Submit Your List for BEA's 2023 Film Poll!

Awesome, thanks Chief. Will tally in a sec.
Need to let you know I’m not going to accept Jackass Forever though (as it’s a 2022 release). Sorry. Give me a head’s up for any updates/additions, etc. _________________ Submit Your List for BEA's 2023 Film Poll!

FYI Hayden, I edited my chart, caught 3 more movies to round out my list to 25. No change in order other than the 3 added. Unfortunately I wasn't a fan of The French Dispatch :/ wanted to like it but I found it a little dull. Dune was good but quite frankly underwhelming (maybe I'll change my mind on that after Part 2), and The King's Man was fun and silly but bad.
Bolded the new films, as well as a new entry into top scores. Hans Zimmer is hit or miss for me, but Dune hit and hit good. Acting selections are unchanged. I was tempted to nominate Rhys Ifans for that batshit performance as Rasputin, but... no. _________________ 51 Washington, D.C. albums!
