I think that i'm one of their greatest fan of Radiohead here, but this album is just average, worthless when you listen to all the exciting new electronic albums that came out this year. Just disapponting to this in the top 500 and second best of the year. This is where I sometimes prefer RYM for music recommendations.

It's not a bad album. It's not a great one either. Which is the description for most of their albums.

King of Limbs > The Bends
King of Limbs = Ok Computer (or atleast pretty close to being on par with)

Has anyone noticed that Codex and Pyramid Song are very very similar?

least best radiohead album since "pablo honey". feels like a transitional album from the great "in rainbows".

Not to mediocrity I hope. Pablo honey is 2x better ! And supercollider/the butcher with only 2 songs is almost as good.

This album defiantly has it's emotion. But I expected a better, and more ambitious album from the greatest current band in the world.

Since this thread got a bump, I'd just like to say that it bogles my mind that this album is getting so much hate.

Kid A is a masterpiece and my favorite radiohead album as of now, but really, the more I listen to this one, the closer and closer it gets to topping Kid A. As a matter of fact I wouldn't be suprised if I replace Kid A with KoL on my chart very soon.

I love the shortish length; for me around 40 minutes is the ideal lenght for an album: long enough to be satisfying, and short enough to where you don't feel bad about listening to it twice if you want to. Wink

I love the theme of organic music vs. electronica that get's explored throughout the album. Feral and Codex are two of the most briliant songs of all time; and I feel that given the theme of the album, it's almost like radiohead has been working towords this album for their whole career, in contrast to what a few others have said about these being throwaway songs or b-sides.

Long story short, I deffinately think this album deserves it's rank in the current charts, and personaly, I would like to see it go even higher if it ever gets the possitive attention it deserves.
