If I removed one, it would be Dark Side. It's a good album, but not top 10. _________________ Finnegan was super bad-ass.

Anything that's not DSOTM or IV.
I haven't heard much Radiohead or Arcade Fire, so I won't judge them.
Nevermind - remove in a heartbeat!
Beatles stuff - their stuff is good, but not top 10.

Puncture Repair wrote: | People get so hung up over how deep and meaningful and clever DSOTM is, but they're just fooling themselves. It's a fantastic album and one of the best, but it's nothing remotely close to something having been crafted by geniuses. It explores really dull and obvious themes blandly enough that it's obvious what they're talking about whilst still sounded mysterious. Beyond that it's just like most other songs - chord structures with nice melodies over the top. What they manage to do so well is make the entire album sound very cohesive, which few other artists are able to do. |
I'd always thought DSOTM would be better if they left off "On the Run" and "Great Gig in the Sky". I love instrumentals, but those are essentially the same piece of music repeating over and over.
Wish You Were Here, the Wall, Animals, Meddle, and Ummagumma are all better artistic achievements, IMO. But I understand the widespread appeal of DSOTM. It's easily the most accessible of their stuff.

Highway 61, and replace it with the times are a changin'
Kind of Blue... I appreciate, however, the fact it is in the top 10.

I wonder why there is this divide with these two bands... The Beatles and U2... it seems you either love them or you hate em.

Maybe I should grow an obsession with a band and always talk about them, not that you are, but this notion is attributed to your 2 threads about U2 and how often you reference to both U2 and The Beatles.
