You obvioulsy haven't seen "Summertime CLothes" played live then.

It's quite a feat for AnCo to make something this accessible and wondrous. It has the cohesiveness of Feels (probably their best album) and the disconnected charm of Strawberry Jam - so a perfect combination. "Brother Sport" is the standout for me.

EMbryonic just beats it out for best of 2009 for me (though if you included the brilliant Fall Be Kind with this it would easily be #1).

Interesting, for me, some of these songs are very good at making me "bop my head". Especially Taste. I always "have" to sing along too

Honestly, if they included What Would I Want? Sky on MPP, it would of made the album that much better. Easily Animal Collective's best song Smile

Well of course, Hospice was released that year.

And yeah ^

I retract my statement. I watched the video of My Girls on Youtube and they were all bopping and then I was all bopping and I just couldn't stop myself from bopping.

I might give it a second spin sometime soon.

Another highly ranked album that's hit or miss for me. As I recall, their vocals range from very good on some tracks to absolutely horrid on others. Haven't listened to it in a couple of years because, well...I didn't want to. Nothing on this album really came out, took me by the hand and said, "you have to keep listening to this."

This album sucks mad balls. Worst of the group, worst of the decade, worst of the century. I heard that management considered burning down the venue after they heard this album sucks so many old, hairy, mad balls. I heard Panda Bear wipes his ass with the liner notes and throws the jewel cases on Avey Tare's greeting rug so Avey cuts his feet when exits his house each morning so he can remember how many mad balls AnCo sucks, and that Avey Tare is just holding Panda Bear back.

What my dear purple is trying to say in his own enigmatic way... is that Panda Bear is better. Rolling Eyes

Kind of have to say I agree! I've been listening to 'Tomboy' this week and it rocks... way better than MPP IMHO!

MPP is pretty disappointing.

Overall Panda Bear's solo shit is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay fucking superior to his AnCo stuff.
