Are you really giving all music the same chance?

Also, I find it weird when people write off certain genres. After all, every artist sounds different.

Dubstep, classical, rock, reggae. All of those are VERY different genres and it's not often you come across someone who likes them all.

While this is true, I think it's fair to have a bias against a certain genre. For example, I generally don't like country. I'm willing to give any country artist a try before I write them off as shit, but I'm not exactly going to go out of my way to find all of the country artists I would actually enjoy.

That's perfectly understandable so if you try an artist before writing them off.

I own as least 1 album from all 4 of those genres. Very Happy

No, I give precedence to genres that I enjoy over those with which I am less familiar.

this perpetual paranoia you have about people not being honest about what music they like has to stop.

unless you somehow get hold of an infallible polygraph and travel the globe taking it to each and every bea user and ask them 'are you lying about the music you like?' you will never ever be able to prove your assumptions.

why not spend the energy enjoying what you like and keeping the musical integrity you so clearly value. if there are people who pretend to like music they actually don't and pretend to dislike music they like, they should be pitied. for their enjoyment must be hollow and soulless.

it wouldn't be that big of a deal if so much shit wasn't popular, like from 1920 to the 1950s you didn't have to worry about running into total shit when you left the house, in this country there is shitty music everywhere.

i just wish they would shove frank sinatra or tony bennet down my earholes instead of fucking three doors down or whatever is on these pop stations these days.

nearly everyone is bad

take your band for example, i don't really like them but they are ok to me and i would much rather listen to them then 99.4 percent of what the masses listen to

I love how Thursdayeno complains about shit being on the radio, yet goes on to name Three doors down, a band that hasn't been relevant in years.

No. There are plenty of styles of music that I straight up dismiss, sometimes before even hearing a lot of it. I do so on moral grounds more than anything else. There are still some artists from those groups that I will occasionally accept for one reason or another though.
