I don't know why strangers are interested in other strangers' likes and dislikes. I am interested only in their aggregate opinion.

If you did not want to know a stranger's likes and dislikes then how would you know who to talk to? We connect to other people through music, film, books, sport and other entertainment as a basis of a relationship.

Sorry Joanna, I was bored and wondered if people saw their charts as unique or more mainstream. Just trying to strike a conversation.

Why would I want to talk to strangers? I get plenty of advice from people I know and from those that I respect because of their education, training and experience. Don't get me wrong, I strike casual conversations with strangers all of the time. I used to ask for directions until I started using a GPS 6 years ago. But I don't ask strangers for their music, film, book, sports, or entertainment recommendations. If you knew a person's likes and dislikes would they be strangers?

"Why would I want to talk to strangers?" asks the man with more posts than anyone in the site's history. Why are you here, then? If you're only interested in aggregate opinion, you can just stay away from the forums and glance at the overall chart from time to time.

I was gonna say the same thing. Why the hell are you here than if you don't wanna talk to strangers or learn from other people's opinions? The whole point of the site is to 1.) talk to strangers and 2.)share our opinions and argue.
