Also, does anyone here actually think Bloom is the ideal #1? BEA has had unusual choices for #1 for the past 2 years. Helplessness Blues makes no sense imo while Bon Iver & Kaputt exist

We had songs, not singles last year, right? I think it worked fine. Though in any case, we should agree on what to allow - would songs, released as singles this year, but already on albums, released in previous year(s) count? And how about songs, previously already released as singles?

Yeah we had songs and it worked well. All 10 songs were kinda decidedly nominated so that's all that matters. And any song that is on any album or EP this year is eligible (even if it was released as a single last year) and any single released in anticipation of an album coming out next year is eligible too. So it's all good.

I can't comment on the past few years, but for this year I really think Bloom deserves the spot. The album just really comes together in a way that most albums can't; to be, that coherency coupled with the brilliant song craft earn it the top spot by a large margin. _________________ My top songs of the 2010s
