Metallica Teaming Up With The Kinks' Ray Davies

Metallica is set to appear on See My Friends, the upcoming album from Ray Davies of The Kinks. The album boasts famous collaborators on classic Kinks songs. It's due out November 2.

The mighty Metallica will appear on the classic anthem, "You Really Got Me" with Davies. Other contributors include Bruce Springsteen, Jackson Browne, Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora and Billy Corgan, to name a few. In answer to the title of the forum, Metallica is undoubtedly the best metal band ever, unless you count Zeppelin as metal.

I agree with Bork that Iron Maiden are the best heavy metal band ever & the best live act 100% .UP THE IRONS!

Are all better than Metallica and there are metal bands that are just as good.

Sorry Applerill, I meant no disrespect.

I guess that I just take the Metallica subject personally because I was once a huge Metallica fan.

I have Master Of Puppets at #10 and And Justice For All at #39 on my chart.

Between 1983 and 1988 they were as good as it gets.

And then the Metallica I knew and loved died. Sad

Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, and Judas Priest.

Really, I'd be happy if they were the only three metal acts in my collection. Don't get me wrong...I like Metallica (they're represented on my chart), but they never fully won me over as a die-hard fan like those three bands have.

Metallica is a good act...those other three are metal royalty.
